Giving Gown 2018

Image by Michael Martinez Fine Portraits Hi everyone! It’s good to finally share a bit with you about Giving Gown with you. Giving Gown-This Week!

I am so excited that Giving Gown is this week! In preparation, I have to share one of my favorite stories. This sweet girl visited us in 2015 and I befriended her as I was walking around getting interviews with everyone I could get permission from. Upon asking her a little about her experience, she mentioned how she was actually only there to support her friends get *their* dresses, but soon found herself in the loving hands of a fairy godmother, somewhat sheepishly picking out her own. Easter Scripture Prints

Easter Scriptured Print by JH Portrait Art and Photography I believe that my life has a purpose, and that purpose is to love people. I feel that it is my life’s work to somehow exhibit to each person I come in contact with the love of Christ, the truth that they are valuable, they are worthy, and that they are loved. I do that through my camera, my images, and through the use of scriptures on prints. The Bible says to train up your children in the way they should go and when they are oldView full post »

Sitter Sessions

We Believe God’s beauty is expressed through His creation and humans are created by Him.  We Desire That every child one day  be reminded of God’s  promises through scripture that are meant for them, so we create scriptured prints as a way to accomplish this. It is such a precious time for babies who are sitting, but not yet crawling.  The moment is SO brief.  Let us capture it for you. Book a Sitter Session between now and March 2 and receive a complimentary 14 inch scripturedView full post »

We are so excited to share the photos our very first Baby New Year!  Elia Christina Pol, born January 1 at 12:04 a.m. was crowned JH Portrait Art & Photography’s Baby New Year 2018! We were so surprised to get a baby so close to time, and couldn’t be happier with our first ever contest. We hope to get another round of incredible entrants again next year! Painted Portrait-Hannah

Sharing the painting process of a mixed media painting of Hannah. This painted portrait was a joy to create! It is timeless and sweet. The image is of a mother, pregnant with her firstborn baby. This painting now hangs on her parents’ wall, in their home, where I know it is cherished. My desire is for this image to last past Hannah’s lifetime and into her legacy, where one day her descendants can appreciate her beauty and talk about this portrait of her. I am so very honored toView full post »
